The Simple Woman's Daybook~ October 20

For Today: October 20, 2008

Outside my window...it's still dark and quiet.

I am thinking...that it is actually starting to feel like fall in Florida. The high yesterday was 79 degrees!

I am thankful for...the freedom we have to attend a church where the word of God is preached without compromise. I wonder how long we'll continue to have this freedom if a socialist is elected in two weeks.

From the kitchen...apple pie.

I am wearing...a pink sweater, brown and pink paisley skirt, and brown sandals.

I am creating...a list of things I'm thankful for.

I am going...to church this morning. Our fall Bible conference began last night and goes through Wednesday. There are preaching services each morning as well.

I am reading...in my Bible: Psalms; just for fun: Susanna Wesley by Arnold A. Dallimore.

I am hoping...that this lingering cough goes somewhere else.

I am hearing...the sound of the dryer working on load #1 of the day.

Around the house...laundry; deep cleaning the bathrooms; tidying up the laundry room.

One of my favorite things...hot tea.

A few plans for the rest of the week...We'll be busy with the Bible conference for most of the week. Even though my body may grow weary, I never tire of hearing good preaching. :)

Here is a picture thought I am sharing...

Hmmmm! Apple pie!:)

Don't worry about Obama. I know it seems like a scarey time. But think of what Paul had to deal with. ;-)

Stay encouraged ;-)

You always impress with me being dressed so early in the morning. :)

its like our pastor said in church yesterday; God ahsnt promised things will get better and better. In fact He promised that in the end times things will wax worse and worse! I dont like the thought. I'm trying to be further removed from the speeches and the polls simply for my own peace of mind. Its just too unnerving.

I've been thinking the same thing....

Enjoyed your Daybook entry.
I am not worrying about the election. God already knows who will be in office...that thought brings peace to my husband and me.

79 degrees!! that is our perfect summer weather...a cool day for us in July and August!! today is only 52 so the fleece jackets came out this .a.m. We had a real hard frost last nite so now my pink wildflowers are no more! but...my mums are loving it and my roses are still blooming!

I hope you enjoy the rest of the Bible conference. My husband used to be a youth pastor. (we travel with his job now making that impossible) I always loved the conferences like Hot Hearts and such.

Many blessings for your family,
Cassidy

Hi Mrs. C, I love hot tea also. I like to drink a cup of tea with honey (peppermint is my favorite) while I am making dinner. Just something relaxing about it. Hope that cough goes away soon (drink some hot tea and honey!)
