The Principal Played Hooky

It's finally starting to feel like fall in Central Florida; low 80's during the day and low 60's at night. We slept with the widows open last night. That hasn't happened since probably March. My electric bill is ready for some relief.
After a week full of meetings with our school's accreditation organization, I was ready to take the day off and relax. Yes, the principal played hooky. I washed six loads of laundry today. So much for relaxing! I really did enjoy tidying up the house and getting the laundry room cleaned out. There's just something about puttering around the house on a crisp autumn day that puts a smile on a girl's face I also spent some time outside watching Toby run around the yard. We went down to the pond and explored a little bit. Days like today remind me of the importance of slowing down and taking the time to enjoy the simple things in life.

so glad you got to play hooky today! I am right there with you on Friday...we have the day off and so a 4 day weekend is looming....time to slow down and enjoy those simple things!

Glad you got a break and you are enjoying the "fall" weather -- the pics are beautiful!

I put fall in quotes because 80 degree fall days sound so weird to me -- here 80 degree days are the dog days of summer! Oh, and doing that much laundry is NOT playing hooky : )

I'm glad you had a wonderful day off with the family (even if you did do some cleaning/laundry/etc in between relaxing)!

Oh, and I agree -- it's nice to give the electric bill a break!!! :o)

I am so glad you gave yourself the day of "rest". And for me ... I need things to be in order to properly rest. Maybe for you too. So I a little laundry is a helpful thing. OR in your case a LOT of laundry.

Enjoy the fall. I know how hard you work for it around your parts.
