Week in review

A week ago today I was on a plane headed toward Detroit. My hubby preached all week long in a Bible conference at one of my favorite churches. We had a great week in Toledo. In addition to hearing some fantastic preaching, we also had a chance to fellowship with old friends and make some new friends as well. This trip had been planned before my hospital battles began, and I am so thankful the Lord allowed my body to heal so that I could still go. I am feeling almost back to normal, and I'm now officially "bandage-free". Those of you who have ever had an open wound know how excited that makes me. We flew home on Saturday. I actually got everything unpacked that same day, and I think that was a first for me. The three older kids spent last week at our church's youth camp while Lil' Nut spent time with her grandmas. It's been great to have us all home together again. Today I'm hoping to get the downstairs tidied up and work on a few projects at the office. I need to go to the grocery store, too, since the fridge is empty. What's on your agenda today?

I'm so glad you got to take your trip! :) That IS a blessing!
I just had my baby shower last night, so I get to put away all the gifts and get ready for, Lord willing, our new little one. :) Oh, and I must go shopping and do laundry!
Hope you have a very productive day and continue to feel well!

My agenda has changed a bit. My sweetheart is home today and had planned to work on the 're-do' of my rose garden. Instead, he's in bed with a touch of flu. I had planned to sort and toss and recycle and clean in my office/sewing room. My plans haven't changed much except I will be the nurse needed to help my hubby get on his feet again.

I so enjoy hearing from you but, for some reason, I still can't reply to your comments. Please know how much it means to me that you stop by to visit and leave your sweet comments. And I praise the Lord that you were able to travel with your hubby.]

Sounds like you've been busy! so glad you had an excellent time with old friends and making new ones! God is good! On my agenda? Putting the house in order from the busy weekend....a clothes shopping trip with my youngest (old navy where everything is 30% off!) and organizing my meal plan for the week...which is easy as we leave for Cape Cod on Thursday so I really just have to plan what to pack and what to purchase one we arrive there. Sadly, I am also organizing a funeral reception and need to travel back to my hometown in Central NYS early tomorrow as the father of 2 close friends of mine died suddenly...but...he is with the LORD! still kinda hard tho....he was a pillar in my childhood church growing up....

I can't believe what you have been through. I also can't believe I missed it until now. I have no idea why. I remember checking your blog awhile back and you had not updated in quite a while, and then I guess I just got sidetracked.

I am so sorry for what you have gone through and are continuing to go through. You must have needed a big rest for God to put you flat on your back for a bit. It's a well deserved rest I have no doubt, but certainly an awfully hard way to get one.

I sure hope things look up for you very soon. As always, you have a wonderful spirit and positive outlook. I applaud you for that. Please continue to rest and get better. Healing bodies take a lot of energy.

I'll be praying for you as well.

I'm sorry I haven't been by in a long time. Unfortunately I've gotten away from blogging as much. I do blog once in a while and would like to get back to it but just haven't as of yet on a regular basis. I just wanted to stop by and see how things were going with you. I love getting to see the pics of you and your family. You have a lovely family by the way. I hope you enjoy your trip and return back home safely.

Take care Sis!!
