Things that make me smile

I took Toby to a new groomer this morning. It only took her an hour to groom him. He's wearing a pumpkin bandana, and he's as soft and fluffy as can be. :)While I was taking an early morning walk I spotted a large box full of cookbooks that had been put out for the garbage man by one of my neighbors. The two on top just happened to be Gooseberry cookbooks. I couldn't resist rescuing them from the box and bringing them home with me.We received an unexpected gift card in a Thanksgiving card from a church family. What a blessing! It's just enough to cover all of the drinks I am supposed to supply for our Thanksgiving meal.My "secret encourager" at school gave me this lovely basket of goodies. My house is smelling very "pumpkin-y" right now. What things are making you smile today?

All your things are smile-worthy in my book! Love that gift basket of pumpkin-y things, and what a find with those cookbooks!

Things that make me smile . . . hearing from either one or both of my boys away at college; my husband seeking me out just to give me a hug; my daughter showing me her latest jewelry creation; seeing extended-family pictures on Facebook; getting a Christmas card in the mail already! :)

what nice things to bring a smile to your face.
I am actually in a kind of despondant mood :( but....I know this too shall pass! (it's based on something i just posted the other day about friendships)...I know I just need to trust the Friend who is above all friends: JESUS!!

but...my teenager is making me smile...she is packing on her own for our thanksgiving trip to grandparents and actually is ahead of me! I did not need to remind her at all....she started packing last nite! thank you Lord for my teenager.....!

Wow! Who would want to throw away those awesome cook books! I would be so tickled to have found some.

I found a baby exersaucer for the garbage man once. Right when Tiny Boy could use it, and me too!

It is now being enjoyed by another lady in my church.

Love Toby's new do! As I child, I had a stuffed dog I called Toby, and actually he was quite similar looking.
