Thanks so much for bearing with me while I took a much needed blogging break. I needed some time to focus on my family as we adjust to a new routine. Bookworm, Mickey, and Curly Girl started attending our church's Christian school last week. Okay... all you homeschoolers out there pick yourselves up off the floor and breathe! We have prayed much and have great peace about our decision. Still, it is a big adjustment for us after homeschooling for the past four years. The kids are actually having a blast so far. That may change once the workload picks up a bit. I am not home alone twiddling my thumbs all day. Lil' Nut is my constant companion and shadow. She helps me around the house and enjoys having Mommy all to herself. We have a flexible daily schedule that includes fun preschool learning and lots of playtime. There's even a morning designated to visiting the local library. I am looking forward to spending more one-on-one time with my baby. My handsome hubby takes the kids to school each morning and is able to visit with them during lunchtime since his office is just a few steps away from the cafeteria. I am glad that he is able to check on them throughout the day. Our afternoons aren't that much different. There is homework to be done, and the kids still have chores to do. Bookworm has resumed piano lessons with the instructor she first started taking lessons from four years ago. Her studio is conveniently located just down the street from our house. We still have lots of family time each evening. Splashing in the pool is a great way to wind down from a busy day. We're happy, healthy, and serving the Lord. Life is good.

Mrs. C,
I'm so glad to hear that you are doing well and that the Lord has provided many blessings for you and your family.
How are you enjoying your new home? :)
I'm sure that it "feels" very different not having your children at home. I know that I would feel the difference after schooling for the past 14 years! :-D
Blessings to you!

I'm so glad you're getting nicely settled in your new home and everyone's adjusting wonderfully! (I'm sure it helps that you've lived in the area before!) How wonderful that you are getting a bit more together time with your littlest one :o) I'm sure you will share many fun memories together during this special time.

Did I ever tell you that my sister attended her first year of college there where you are now?

My husband and I have been praying about whether or not to place Shane in our church's small little Christian school. So far, we are still homeschooling him. 5th grade this year! I just can't believe it!

Hello, Mrs. C,
I'm happy for you all! Our girls were educated in three very different ways. Only two have been homeschooled, and one of them just through the high school years. Every family has to decide what is best for their children's education. The fact that their father is just down the hall makes it even more fun for them, I'm sure. Enjoy the tiny one at home with you. I know you know how fast it passes.
Blessings and hugs,
Karen

Ok, I just got up off the floor. (JUST KIDDING!!!)

Every parent is resonsible for their own children, and how ever the Lord leads with your choice of schooling is up to Him. Not the homeschool community. ;-)

Blessings as you follow the Lord's leading your your husband's leadership of the home....I kind of envy you getting to spend one on one time with your "baby". Enjoy it! :)
