I know what I won't be asking for this Christmas

You never know what you have until you empty every last cabinet in the house. What you think is just a simple pleasure may turn out to be a force to be reckoned with.

Take for instance, my fondness of candles. Bookworm helped me go through every room in the house and gather all the candles to box up. Then I took out all of the candles from two cabinets in the laundry room.

These are my votives and tarts. Not too many of these.

Here are all of the scented oils. Not too bad.

I still have candles from my wedding. They're only 13 years old.

Now for the scary part. Here's the whole kit 'n kaboodle. I couldn't even fit them all in the picture. There are more sitting on top of the washer and dryer.
I think I have a problem.

I have a candle addiction as well. My favorites are from Home Interior. They really smell when you burn them.

Who can resist candles? The atmosphere just altoghether improves when a candle is lit. :)

I'm sure I have that many too but you know what? If we have to have an addiction to something why not candles? LOl Its better then cigarettes, gambling, overeating, and drunkeness, right?

He he he--ladies sign me up for 'Candles Anonymous' too! (o;

Recently I did go through my cabinets and get rid of some old ones and I have been disciplining myself that every time we go and eat at Cracker Barrel it doesn't mean I need to buy another candle.

Sadly I've developed scent allergies within the last year and most candles aggravate them so I don't burn my candles as much as I used to. )o:

The good news is: you're definitely not alone in your addiction! :P And, the other good news -- moving really helps get it (somewhat) under control. I got rid of a ton of candles/knick knacks/junk during our move... you know, you could make up some gift baskets to bless some ladies in your church. Or, you could even host a giveaway or two ;)

LOL ~ Moving reveals much about us! ;o)

Tip: Clearly mark the box you put these in, and don't put off unpacking it. Most especially do not store any unpacked boxes of candles in the attic or a Florida garage. The wax will not hold up to the heat. You might say ... this is the voice of experience ~ 'nuff said about that! ;o)
