Ultimate Love


I am blessed to have so many people in my life that love me. I don't deserve their love, but I'm so very thankful that I am loved despite my many shortcomings.

I know a love that surpasses all human love.

"But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." Romans 5:8

I don't deserve God's love, but I'm so glad He gave His Son to pay the penalty for my sins.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16

Jesus showed the ultimate love when He died on the cross for your sins and for mine. God's love never fails, never hurts, never ends.

What can I give Him in return for the great love He has shown to me? I can give Him my life--all of it. Because He gave eternal life to me.

Amen! I am so thankful too that Christ took care of all of it (sin's penalty) on the cross! There is *nothing* left to do but agree with God that you're an sinner, and trust in Christ's Work. Such Love it is! To think that God created us human beings even when he knew we would sin against Him is just mind boggling to me!

Sometimes it makes me what to jump up and down for joy that God has done this amazing thing for me. (And sometimes I do. ;-) )

I really liked the Valentine acronym too. I have never seen that... God's Word is sooo neat!

I made copis of the Valentine acronym from anther site and a using them as Valentines for my kid from church. Love your blog.
