Things That Make My Heart Smile

Nannykim shared some things that make her heart smile and challenged others to do the same. Here's my list:

the sound of my children's laughter

butterflies

hugs and kisses

freshly baked bread

flowers

pumpkin scented candles

twinkle lights

romantic movies

love notes

fall leaves

hand written letters

encouraging words

clean sheets

bubble baths

little girls playing dress-up

hot buttered popcorn

phone calls from far away friends and family

our cat and dog curled up together

a shiny sink

beautiful music

special Bible verses

old photo albums

surprises

holding hands with my husband

peaceful little angels sleeping in their beds

What things make your heart smile? Let me know if you post a list; I'd love to read it. :)

What a great list. It reminds me of "Raindrops on Roses and whiskers on kittens".

Have your read the Mitford series? Cynthia is famous for telling her husband what she loves. And she loves a lot of wonderful, creative things. What a great way to see the world don't you think?

Great list--I love all of those things tooo--isn't this fun? And the more you think , during the day, the more you see, feel and are thankful for. And BECKY asked about the Mitford series and I am currently reading that--I do think it is a great way to see the world--it makes us rejoice always and have very thankful hearts!!

Becky & Nannykim,
I have read the Mitford books, and I love how Jan Karon shows that the simple things are the most important.

Blessings,
Mrs. C

I wrote a list like this a while back about the reasons I love fall. I love all your list as well.
