Favorite Things

I haven't been able to participate in Kelli's Show and Tell for the past few weeks, and I'm excited to be able to play along once again. I always enjoy seeing what treasures you all have to share.

While we were on vacation I splurged a bit and purchased a couple of things that had been on my wish list. I've been admiring Vera Bradley's Java Blue pattern for quite some time, so I finally indulged and am now the owner of a Villager tote bag and the matching wallet in Java Blue.

I really like the Java Blue pattern because it doesn't show dirt, and it's one of my favorite color combinations--brown and teal. I purchased it in the Villager style because it's a really roomy bag. Even though I no longer carry a diaper bag (hallelujah!), I'm always hauling Sunday school materials to church or just need to be able to fit a lot of "stuff" in my bag on a family outing. This particular collection is being retired, so the bag was on sale. I wouldn't have bought it if I had to pay full price. It's much more fun to buy something when you find a bargain. :)

Have a wonderful weekend!

Don't you just love it?? I have a bag which is that citrusy green and blue. I love it. And I get a lot of comments on it. Her stuff is such quality.

BTW, my friend has one just like mine, and she washed it. And she put it in the dryer. It is all rumpled and pruny looking and smaller now, than mine is. I think it shrunk. She thinks it came out great but I think (I didn't say of course) that perhaps not putting it in the dryer would be the trick. You might keep that in mind.

I think I'd take it out of the washer and mold it and form it over a box or something, to dry.

Anyway, just a hint.

I love your set. When Bruce I went to Dollywood this year he bought me a Vera Bradley purse from Dolly's Closet there at Dollywood. He told me I couldn't have it until Christmas. Well, come Christmas I had totally forgotten all about it. Even when I opened it I had forgotten and couldn't believe he knew I wanted one or that he picked just the one I wanted. LOL He died laughing at that. LOL
