Friday's Favorites

Since Mother's Day is just a couple of days away, I thought I'd share my all-time favorite Mother's Day gift for Show and Tell.

This ring was given to me 7 years ago for Mother's Day. I remember busily getting myself and two little ones (ages 2 and 4 months at the time) ready for church that Sunday morning when Mr. C handed me a gift bag with a little box inside of it. I was shocked when I opened the box and saw a beautiful diamond ring. I don't remember the ride to church that morning; I think I floated there on a cloud! :)

Please don't think that I always receive such extravagant gifts on Mother's Day; I don't! Usually I get something small and nice (like a Yankee candle) and lots of homemade cards from the kids. Now that they're getting older, I can look forward to them making breakfast for me, too. The gifts that mean the very most are the smiles, hugs, and kisses that my children bless me with every day of the year.

I like your ring and what a great Mother's Day gift......

I live in the peach state, in the south of the peach state. We have a community named Riverbend and I am a little curious if we may live in the same area......

A very pretty gift! The fact that that isn't the norm makes it more special...

Beautiful ring and I agree with you, the most important gifts are the ones from the kids, the smiles and kisses :)

What a beautiful ring! I know that the little things mean the most, but there's nothing wrong with a spectacular gift once in awhile either!! When they come less often, they are all the more special!!

Such a beautiful ring, Mrs. C! I always love the little things for Mother's Day too but it's nice to get something sparkly once in awhile! :0) Your husband did a great job picking out your ring!

I know what you mean about the extravagant gifts comment. I too, normally get the homemade cards and something small that they've picked out on their own. Sometimes using their own monies at the Dollar Tree. Those are always sweet gifts. But I wouldn't be too proud to accept a diamond ring either. LOL

It's really beautiful. That was sweet of Brother C! :)
