Gettin' With It~Spring Cleaning: Day 1

I appreciate the kind words and prayers on my behalf as I've been recovering from bronchitis. The end result of all that coughing was some torn muscles, which although very painful, was much better than having broken ribs. :) If you could have seen the way I walked all humped over, you would have thought that I was a little old lady! I felt like one, that's for sure. :) I'm still taking pain meds as needed, but I'm trying not to use them too much. I'm not one who likes to rely on medicine. I'm still only functioning at about 75%, but I'm rejoicing that this is not something permanent like so many health conditions can be. Even though I'm still quite sore, I'm feeling good enough to get back into my homekeeping routine. I'm just fed up with how things have gotten disorganized around our house the last few weeks. So, I'm taking a couple of Motrin today and diving into some much-needed spring cleaning. We've seen the worst of the pollen, I think. Mr. C will work on the exterior of the house while I get busy inside. The little girls will be helping me while the older kids are doing their school work. Here's what's on my to-do list: Laundry Room dust entire room clean light fixture wash the window inside and outside wash baseboards vacuum behind washer, dryer, & freezer wash Buddy's food and water bowls clean the utility sink Family Room clean ceiling fan/light fixture dust entire room wash the window inside and outside vacuum under furniture wash baseboards clean blinds/wash window treatments cull magazines straighten contents of entertainment center mop wood floors I'll check back in later today and cross off the tasks that have been completed. Hopefully we'll be challenged to get a lot accomplished! :) Do you have any projects to work on around your house today? Lunchtime Update: The laundry room is almost finished! I will start on the family room this afternoon. :) Evening Update: My list is history, hallelujah! I'll post some pictures tomorrow. Sweet dreams! :-)

Rejoicing that you are feeling a bit better! Continuing to pray and hope you take it easy... even while cleaning. *Ü*
I know what you mean about the house getting disorganized and such. I hope to tackle something today, too.

Thank you so much for your prayers. They truly are a blessing!
Our plans changed a little today. Instead of admitting Ally, we will be going to another appointment on Monday. Thank you, again, for your prayers. They mean so much.

Michelle,
Thanks so much for stopping by again! I hope you get a lot accomplished today.

Christina,
You have been so busy lately, so you have a good excuse for being a bit behind--you deserve a COKE!!!!!
We'll keep praying. :)

So glad you know that you are feeling better!! heeheehee....I couldn't help but your post caused me to giggle. I always know that I am on the mend following a sickness when my house is bugging me! I hope you get a lot done today, but try to not overdo!!!

Here today I've quite a bit of dusting to do. I'd also like to try to find some time to sew a bit.

So glad you're feeling better. I agree with Copper's Wife - you know you're getting well when the house starts bugging you!

Whew, you're industrious. :) I'm certainly not getting much done today, thanks to a queasy preggie tummy. :) Thanks so much for stopping by and giving your congrats! They're appreciated!

I read about both of you and Mr. C's health problems. I know how hard it is to manage things when I don't feel so well, and to have BOTH of you feeling bad must be really hard.
Glad to know you are both doing better.
Today I started to rearrange my house. We are planning on cleaning out the garage this weekend, so I need to find a place for the things that I am going to find in the garage. :) lol!
You inspired me to get started when I saw your list.

Hope you feel better soon. We are cleaning out our garage, hanging flags, washing windows, and putting our patio furniture out.
