Prayers Needed

The last few days have been rough! My dear husband awoke around 11p.m. Saturday with severe abdominal pains and vomiting. He vomited 40-50 times over the next 8 hours and was in excruciating pain. I knew that this was not the flu! I had emergency surgery three years ago, and I could tell from the level of pain he was experiencing that something was very wrong. He finally consented to going to the ER. A young couple from our church came to our house to watch our 4 kids while we high-tailed it to the hospital. To make a long story short, Mr. C had an emergency appendectomy on Sunday night. He was able to come home yesterday and is doing pretty well, although he's in quite a bit of pain today. Please pray for a speedy recovery! Also, I think I was just worn down from going so long without sleep and from the stress of my husband being so sick. I now have a fever and cough, and I think I'm just functioning on auto-pilot right now. The older children have been good about doing their schoolwork without Mommy's help, and the little girls are doing their best to play nicely. :) Please pray that I will feel better so I can care for the rest of the family and that sickness won't spread throughout the house.

Dearest Mrs. C, am lifting you and your husband up in prayer right now. If you lived next door I would be over with some chicken soup! Sending love and big hugs all the way from Virginia.

Mrs. C, I'm so sorry to hear about your husband. I'm glad they caught it in time. I know that was a close call with all the vomiting and the hours. Bless his heart!

And I pray you're feeling better soon. Just take it easy for as long as you can. OK? You're in our thoughts and prayers.

Thanks so much for your prayers. It's such a blessing to know that people from literally all over the world are praying for us.

Kristi and Susan P.,
I was actually thinking of both of you while I was sitting in the hospital on Sunday. Kristi, you've shared about the sickness in your house, and Susan, you've been going through a hard time with your MIL.

It made me realize that we never really know when things can suddenly change.

I'm so thankful for all my bloggy friends! :)

Oh, Mrs. C!! I wish I lived close by...I am praying for your husband, and for you. God bless you both as you recover and may His comfort and peace be with you and your family.

Wow!! I'm so thankful that your hubby consented to you taking him to the dr. My sister had an attack with her appendix when she was a teenager and it almost killed her. Hers was on the verge of bursting so they caught hers just in time. I pray her heals quickly. I also pray that you are feeling well again very soon. Take care!!

Mrs. C,
I just got home yesterday and was catching up on your posts, as well as to thank you for your prayers for our family during this time.
Oh my goodness, you have been through it, haven't you. If we lived closer I would bring you all a meal. I'm sure your church family will take care of you, though.
I'm glad Mr. C is feeling better, and I pray the same for you, too.
Blessings and Hugs to you all!
Karen
