Update on Curly Girl

We survived yesterday's visit to the doctor's office. The doctor said that Curly Girl's burn was indeed 2nd degree, but it should heal within 3-4 weeks. He gave us an Rx for Silvadene. Hopefully we will be bandage-free by Christmas! Here are a couple of pictures of Curly Girl as she celebrated her 5th birthday last week. Now you know where she gets her nickname! I can definitely see where she gets her nickname. She is adorable though. I'm so sorry to hear about her burn. Poor thing.

Oooh, I just LOVE those curls! Makes me want to gently pull one and watch it spring back into place, lol :)

Glad she's doing better; I absolutely loved her saying, "God will give me new skin" As you mentioned, it's a good reminder for all of us that God will take care of things. Hopefully she will be bandage-free in time for Christmas. :)

What a little CUTIE! I just love red hair. No wonder she is the light of your life. God is so GOOD to us!

You left a comment on my blog asking for the Beef Pot Pie recipe. I did a post on it for you.

Blessings,

Trixie

I'm late getting to your blog, and I'm so relieved to be able to read the update on the burn at the same time as the first post! God is so good! You tell that Curly Girl for me that my seven year old burned his arm (in almost the same place) last year (and on his birthday, to boot!) when he fell onto our wood stove. A very nasty second degree burn. God DID give him new skin and we can just barely see the scar now, 10 months later.

What an adorable little face and I can see why you call her curly girl. You have quite the Shirley Temple there. :) I always had hair that was stright as a stick!! :(

I'm sorry about her arm. Poor thing. Burns can hurt so badly. I hope she's not in too much pain.
