Our family loves salsa on almost everything. Most of the time I purchase salsa at the grocery store, but I like to make it from scratch when I can. It can be a bit time-consuming. The other day I was in a hurry and used a packet of salsa seasoning mix I picked up on sale made by the Ball company (the one that makes canning supplies).
All you have to do is add the seasonings to 2 cups of fresh diced tomatoes (or you can used canned tomatoes). Chill for at least one hour before serving.
It really did taste like homemade. Almost. DH still prefers my recipe :o)
