It's PARTY-TIME!!--umm, make that POTTY TIME!

WARNING: Don't read this if you have a weak stomach! Miracles still happen. Yes, they do! Tonight my sweet 2 year old Lil' Nut finally went #2 in the potty. I'm still in shock. She's been staying dry in the daytime for a few weeks, but still hadn't figured out the other part. I called in the other kids so she could "show-n-tell." They held their noses and then cheered for her. I'm really hoping that now that she's done "it" that she'll continue doing "it" in the proper location. Mr. C has been promising her a trip to Wal-Mart for a new toy once the blessed event occured, so I guess they'll be heading there tomorrow. It's been almost nine years since I haven't had DIAPERS on my shopping list. I wonder what I can do with that extra $10 a week??? http://riverbendramblings.blogspot.com

Hey there, Mrs. C. In answer to your question, we have a ladies meeting several times a year and we always have a special theme. Sometimes we'll have a special speaker, and sometimes our Pastor's wife, Mrs. Ava, gives the devotional. But it is ALWAYS good.
You can see pictures of our The Best Things In Life Are Free by going here.

There are two sets of pictures, but just scroll down and you'll find the banquet one. This was our Mother/Daughter banquet. It was a lot of fun and I think I give instruction on how to make the giant flowers. :) And in the February archives, you'll find our western/desert theme we used for Valentine's Day. Maybe you can get some ideas there.

So happy to hear of the success. I love the title of your post and the picture. Very cute. Now, don't forget to give out the tootsie rolls! (That's what we always did.)

I came over here from your post on my blog. I had to see the blog of another kindred spirit. :)

I also had to comment on this post. You wouldn't believe how much time my daughter and I have spent perfectly good (and rare) phone times talking about the subject of the toilet. After baby #3 was born (in 3 1/2 years), she had to get Baby #1 finally potty trained (a stubborn girl). Now she's trying to get Baby #2 potty trained since he turned three.
