A Peek In The Garden

I enjoy spending time outdoors taking in the beauty of God's creation. This morning when I went for my walk I took a few pictures of the flowers currently blooming in our yard. On one side of our house is an adorable little flower garden surrounded by a white picket fence. I have contemplated adding some vegetable plants; maybe next year! We spend a lot of time in our garden. The children and I often eat a picnic lunch at the garden table. It is pleasant even on very sunny days as it is surrounded by a canopy of trees. Our children take great pleasure in feeding the fish in our little pond. It has been a challenge to teach our 2 year old daughter to stay away from the edge!!

WOW!! It's so pretty....it looks like a scene from a movie!

I'd LOVE to have a pond but I'm afraid my dogs would think it was a HUGE water bowl. LOL (o;

mrs. b.,
We have a miniature schnauzer who likes to take a drink from the pond when he's playing outside. Thankfully he has not fallen in--yet. LOL

So Beautiful! I love gardens. How long have you and your husband been in ministry?

We have been in full-time Christian service for 11 years. My husband was on staff at the church where his father pastors for 10 years. We moved here one year ago this month when my husband accepted the pastorate of the church here. The Lord has been so good to us, and we are happy to be able to serve Him as a family.

Mrs. C....I just came by to visit your site. I can see that you are new...you only have a handful of posts. I'm enjoying your site and will be coming back. I hope it is okay if I add you to my list of links. I have a couple I need to take off and would like to add yours. Please email me at juliejoannbrown@yahoo.com so we can exchange some information and get to know one another better. I'd love to find out where y'all pastor and so on.

John, my husband, and I have been in ministry for about nine years. We have been in our little community for over five years now. We are privilaged to be able to serve here. Did you go from a big church to a small one? I'm so sorry if I am being noisy. Its so much fun to be able to talk(write) with a fellow pastors wife:)

Hello Dear Mrs. C.

Your yard is just beautiful, it must be a real treat for you and your husband to sit out there and relax. I can only imagine how busy you are, if your schedule is anything like our Reverend & his wife.

Blessings

Your garden is LOVELY!

Sis. Julie,
I will email you as soon as I get a chance. My computer time is somewhat limited.

Voni,
I do not think you are being too nosey! The church my husband pastors is quite a bit smaller than our home church. We run 80-100 people; our home church in Florida averages 1,500 in attendence. It has been so nice to be able to get to know our people more personally. It's much easier to try to speak to everyone at church (LOL)!

Trixie,
We are busy, but it is a good kind of busy. Most of my time is spent homeschooling our children. I'm not involved in a lot of ministry outside our home, but I am able to sing in the choir, teach a Sunday school class, and teach our Wednesday evening Patch the Pirate Club.

Your yard is just beautiful. I'm jealous of your picket fence! ;)
It sounds like you and your children have some wonderful times in the garden. My children also love to feed the fish.
