Miracles Do Happen
Our internet is now up and running. It only took five weeks, but who's counting? Please bear with me as I work on a new look for the blog. I couldn't handle looking at those stripes another day! I'm also thinking about changing the name of my blog since it was inspired by our home in Georgia. There's no riverbend here in Central Florida. Any suggestions, or should I just leave well enough alone?

Settling In
It's been almost a month since our move, and our new place is beginning to feel like home. We have been going 'round and 'round with our internet provider because we still don't have service even though we ordered it right after the move. They keep promising to fix the problem, but I'm learning that customer service isn't a big priority with them. I have no idea when we'll have internet access, so I still won't be posting regularly. I miss getting to visit your blogs and look forward to being able to catch up with all of you soon! There are still boxes in the garage, but at least we can maneuver around them. I've only hung two pictures on the walls. Every wall in the house is white (gasp!), which I've had a hard time getting used to. You know me--I like color on my walls! I plan on painting in another month or two, and then the wall decor can go up. Baby steps. :) The kids have adjusted well to all of the recent changes. They are thrilled with their new Sunday school classes and are making many friends. Bookworm and Mickey are in the same children's church class and love to hear Bro. Mike preach. It's such a change for them to have close to 100 kids in their 3rd - 5th grade children's church when they were used to only having 15 children at our church in Georgia. They look forward to every church service--what a blessing! They don't mind having their grandparents close by, either. :) My wonderful hubby has been very busy settling into his role as co-pastor. He is excited about serving the Lord in this new capacity, and I'm happy to see him happy. :) I am still in the process of unpacking boxes. Most of the necessities are in place. Organizing the girls' room has been the biggest challenge. All three girls are sharing a bedroom. The room is large enough for the three of them, but I have found that they simply have too much stuff. We'll be sorting through their things and donating what they are no longer attached to. Our church is hosting over 200 teens at camp this week. The camp is located about 10 miles from the church building and is very...um...rustic. The tabernacle and chow hall do have air conditioning, but it is still very hot and sticky out there. I remember once upon a time when I was a camper how hard it was to fall asleep at night in the stiffling heat of the cabins. Perhaps the afternoon rains will cool things off a bit. Regardless of the weather, I know the teens and adults will have a fabulous week. We drive out each night for the preaching service and have already been blessed. Have a wonderful day, and I'll check back in soon. :)

We've Moved!
Just a quick update to let you all know that we have made it to Florida and are settling in. Your prayers and emails have been such an encouragement in the midst of everything going on the last couple of weeks. So much has happened since my last post, but the details will have to wait until I finish unpacking and catch up on some much needed rest. We won't have internet service until sometime next week, so I may not be able to return emails or catch up on your blogs until then. I hope you all have a great week and a safe 4th of July! :)
